A Short Walk From the Convention Center Halls
If you’re looking for restaurants near San Diego Convention Center halls that feel like San Diego and not an airport concourse, Far Corner is a 10 to 15-minute walk from most of the halls. We’re at 410 Tenth Ave, just past Petco Park, with espresso at 6AM, pizza and cocktails at night, and room for the whole booth team.
Marina District residents use us the same way. Morning coffee, weeknight dinner, the game on the TVs.
Convention weeks change downtown fast. Hotel restaurants fill up, lobby bars get loud, and every place on Fifth Avenue quotes an hour wait by 7PM. A few extra minutes of walking past the ballpark gets your group a table, a real pizza and a drink list without hotel-bar pricing. That trade is worth making, especially on the third night of a four-day show.
Food, Coffee and Group Options for Convention Attendees
- Coffee and breakfast before the show floor opens. Doors open at 6AM daily. Browse the café menu for lattes, cold brew, avocado toast and an omelette pizza.
- Pizza, salads and wings for dinner. The full Far Corner pizza menu includes calzones, salads, sides and a gluten-free crust.
- Happy hour after the last session. 3 to 6 PM on non-game days with $6 draughts, wells and house wines. See happy hour details.
- Catering for your booth or suite. Tell us the headcount, date and address on our downtown San Diego catering request and we’ll come back with options, pickup or delivery.

Marina District Landmarks Near Far Corner
The San Diego Convention Center stretches along Harbor Drive, and its eastern halls sit closest to Petco Park, which is right between the halls and our door. From there it’s a short walk up Tenth Avenue. The Hilton San Diego Bayfront and the Marriott Marquis are both on that same waterfront, so plenty of conference guests make the walk after the evening reception.
Further west, Seaport Village and Pantoja Park, San Diego’s oldest public park, anchor the Marina District’s residential blocks. Concertgoers heading to The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park for a San Diego Symphony night can eat here first; it’s roughly a 20-minute walk to the Shell. The Convention Center trolley station also connects to the Park & Market stop near us. It’s all 92101, shared with the Gaslamp Quarter and East Village next door.
Private Dinners and Team Nights Near the Convention Center
Convention weeks bring a lot of “we need a room for 30 people tonight” requests. Far Corner has about 4,000 square feet, two bars, a DJ booth and a pool table, and we handle full buyouts and semi-private setups depending on the night. Open bar, drink tickets or a curated list, your call. Our private events team handles the space, menu and timing so your team lead doesn’t have to.
Booking during a Padres homestand? Tell us. Game day pricing runs $4 beers, $6 house wines and $6 wells from two hours before first pitch, and your group can walk to the gates.

Why Visitors and Marina District Neighbors Choose Far Corner
We’re a scratch kitchen. Dough is mixed on-site from high-gluten flour and fermented 48 to 72 hours, then topped with Bianco DiNapoli tomatoes, Grande cheese and Ezzo pepperoni. You can read how it’s made on our process page.
Eater San Diego named Far Corner one of its Best New Restaurants, and San Diego Magazine and the San Diego Union-Tribune covered the opening. See the full list on our Far Corner press page.
